Preparing for Hatred’s launch Destructive Creations studio has just finished accepting pre-orders. Devs announced that all early buyers will be able to launch the game on May 29th – three days before the official release!
“We would like to thank all our fans for their great support during the time of Hatred’s production. Thanks to your votes, tons of e-mails and spreading the word on the web, we gained a lot of visibility, new followers and finally managed to finish the project!” said Jarosław Zieliński, Destructive Creations Creative Director. “We have a big surprise for everyone who trusted us and decided to pre-order the game. You will not only be able to download the game from Steam on May 29th but most importantly to actually play it! This means three days before the official release! And we hope you’ll enjoy it massively!” Zieliński added.
Just in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 12 months and aren’t familiar with Hatred, it’s an isometric shooter with a disturbing atmosphere of mass killing. You take the role of the cold blooded antagonist, who is full of hatred for humanity.
It may be horrifying, but that’s the point… You’re the villain!
Wander the outskirts of New York State, seeking victims on seven free-roam levels. Fight against law enforcement and take a journey into the antagonist’s hateful mind. Gather equipment from the dead, ‘human shields’, to spread Armageddon upon society.
Destroy everything and everyone in your path as you spread HATRED throughout the city…
The question remains, why do they do this?
These days, when a lot of games are heading to be polite, colorful, politically correct and trying to be some kind of higher art, rather than just an entertainment – we wanted to create something against trends. Something different, something that could give the player a pure, gaming pleasure. This is where Hatred comes from, it takes no prisoners and makes no excuses. We say ‘yes, it is a game about killing people’ and the only reason of the antagonist doing that sick stuff is his deep-rooted hatred.
You’ve got to ask yourself, what can push any human being to mass-murder?
Destructive Creations provokes this question utilizing the Unreal Engine 4, pushing its physics (or rather PhysX) systems to the limits and trying to make the visuals as good as possible. This wasn’t a simple task for the team, because of the game’s non-linear structure and a lot of characters on the screen. However they’re an experienced team and were willing to take on the challenge head on…
Hatred will be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Czech and Portuguese.
The game will be released on June 1st 2015 on Steam and Desura.
