PONCHO, Discover A Post-Apocalyptic World Where Humanity Is A Thing Of The Past

This is one of those games that I sadly missed during it’s Kickstarter phase, however I’m glad that I’ve finally managed to stumble onto it. I’m always looking for a game that brings something new to the table and I’d say that PONCHO certainly qualifies…

PONCHO tells the story of a robot who awakes to discover a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been extinct for centuries. This has left their robotic creations behind to fend for themselves, they’ve formed tribes and communities of their own. Now that their masters are gone, they’re trying to have make a way of life where they still have a purpose within this world.

On your journey, you will have to make some hard choices and ultimately decide the fate of humankind. With multiple areas and paths to explore, you’ll never be able to see everything in a single play through. Poncho is about making you feel like a kid again, exploring outside and looking under rocks to see what you find. There’s treasure in every nook and cranny in this world, and nothing is quite as it seems… There’s always more than one way to accomplish your goals.

What happened within the ruins of the past is a mystery, although glimpses of the truth peek through the unchallenged growth of nature. It’s up to players to help the poncho-wearing mechanical hero find his maker, work out what happened and ultimately try to restore humanity.
