Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds, Everything We Know About The Upcoming Playset

Disney Interactive definitely raised the bar with Disney Infinity 3.0, the newly added features and overall ease of use enhancements to the creativi toys & logic connections makes for a magical toy box gaming experience.

Even when you take a look at the 3.0 Playsets, compared to those from 2.0, they deliver a far more satisfying experience that immerses gamers of all ages into the fun and engaging gameplay. However despite all of the accolades that the current playsets have received, the upcoming Marvel Battlegrounds has easily been one of the most anticipated as it promises to bring a completely new style of gameplay to Infinity. Fans have been chomping at the bit to get their hands on the Super Smash Bros. styled arena brawler that’ll allow you to breathe new life into all of your Marvel figures.

“With Disney Infinity 3.0, we’ve aimed to provide a wider variety of gameplay you’re playing a play set intended for so many characters,” said Disney Infinity 3.0 Art Director Jeff Bunker. “We’ve had cross-over characters and that’s been a lot of fun, but the gameplay is more of a perk, a bonus. In the case of ‘Battlegrounds,’ it’s our intention to bring all of those characters together and be balanced.”

Even though we’re still eagerly awaiting the release of this Playset, today we get our first look at the retail packaging for Marvel Battlegrounds and we’ll dig into the details.

Why We Need To Push Friday The 13th: The Game Beyond Their Kickstarter Funding Goal

As we’re quickly approaching the, Friday November 13th, Kickstarter campaign deadline for Friday The 13th: The Game, they’re still $14,995 away from their $700,000 funding goal to #UnleashJason.

At the start of the campaign it appeared as if they would’ve reached their goal within the first 2 weeks, every time I checked the counter it just kept climbing at a meteoric rate. Unfortunately, like most crowd funding campaigns, the second week brought with it a rather dramatic slow down in the volume of pledges coming in. However the pace at which the fans were coming out to show their support and back the campaign has kept them right on track to achieve their goal. At this point there isn’t any concern as to whether or not Gun Media & Illfonic will hit their goal, its really just a matter of time.

Reaching their goal will ensure they’re able to deliver a terrifying, 1v7 asymmetrical multiplayer, Friday The 13th experience. However there is still so much more that the team wants to accomplish, within their Stretch Goals, in order to deliver the complete fan experience that they’ve had in mind. Among the list of their goals they’ve planned; some of the most memorable kills from the franchise, a single player campaign that’ll allow you to alter history by reliving iconic scenes from the series as either Jason (with a 1st person point of view) or a counselor, and of course there’s also the ability to play as the original killer… Jason’s dear ol’ mother.

Even though the team has said they’re considering the possibility of developing the Stretch Goals to become DLC down the road, but there aren’t any guarantees that it will happen. Right about now you might be asking yourself if there’s a possibility that they’ll become DLC, why should we fund the campaign beyond the $700K goal?

Does Avalanche Studios And WB Games Have A Plan For DLC In Mad Max?

In today’s gaming marketplace it’s become more and more common for AAA developers to release a game with the intention of backing it up with downloadable content, so much in fact that we’re presented with the option to purchase a season pass even before the game has been released. And yet Avalanche Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Just Cause franchise, decided to take a completely different approach with the release of Mad Max.

So far the only mention of DLC that I’ve come across are references to the pre-order bonuses, console exclusives, and the Rockstar Energy challenge car… that’s it. Whether or not Avalanche Studios is making a silent statement against the dependence on DLC in gaming or they’re simply wanting to make sure there’s a demand before investing the time, I honestly don’t know.

However this is what I know… The below content has been made available so far.

Even though Avalanche Studios hasn’t yet revealed their ultimate plans for Mad Max, I’d say there’s probably an expectation within the community that there will be more DLC coming our way. With that in mind, I’ve compiled a list of what I’d love to see make an appearance in Mad Max.

Batman: Arkham Knight, Arkham Episodes Harley Quinn Story Pack PS4 Review

The Harley Quinn Story Pack was another pre-order bonus for Batman: Arkham Knight, however unlike the Red Hood Story Pack this was made available to everyone regardless of where purchased or the format pre-ordered. For me there wasn’t ever a question as to whether or not I was going to be pre-ordering Batman: Arkham Knight, however the prospect of getting this story DLC certainly didn’t hurt. Even though I was looking forward to playing this content, I didn’t really know what to expect until we received the official gameplay trailer and I was thrilled. However the question remains, did the Harley Quinn Story Pack live up to my expectations? Just in case you haven’t had a chance to see the Harley Quinn Story Pack in action, you can check it out here. Why I’m Eagerly Awaiting Batman: Arkham Knight Or How A Videogame Reignited My Passion For Games?

Even though we’re less than 24 hours away from the release of Batman: Arkham Knight, allow me to take a moment to share why I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Rocksteady’s final chapter in their Arkham trilogy. Of course in order to get a full understanding of my point of view, I need to provide you with a little bit of my backstory in order for it all to make sense.

I was fairly young when my Dad brought home our first gaming console, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). In all honesty I can’t even remember when he brought it home, it just feels like it was always there. We may not have had much growing up, but I had my NES and I couldn’t even begin to imagine how many hours of my childhood I dedicated to the original entries in the Super Mario Bros franchise. For most people videogames were/ are a means of entertainment, for me it was a means of escape. No matter how rough things got at home, I always had a means of leaving it all behind and losing myself in another world. If I didn’t have this means of escapism available to me, at such a young age, I’d hate to think how different things would’ve been.

What If… Developers & Studios Were More Accommodating With The Use Of Their Intellectual Property

The other day I was thinking about an indie game that is currently in development and how perfectly suited it would be to feature intellectual property from another studio. This raised the question, what if studios were more accommodating with the use of their IP?
