Caffeine, Addicted First Person Psychological Scifi Horror

Considering how many of us begin our daily lives with a cup of coffee, I can see this world becoming our future… whether or not that future will be filled with such horror. We’ll just have to wait and see, However I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Caffeine, this is definitely a game I can immerse myself in and get lost.

Caffeine is a quirky first person psychological horror adventure game with environmental puzzles.

Set in the near future, the entire population of Earth is vigorously addicted to coffee. Massive space stations built by the biggest corporations roam the stars mining minerals to create a synthetic caffeine to quench the never ending thirst of the human race.

U55: End Of The Line, Survival Horror Steeped In Lovecraftian Cthulhu Mythos

In the last few years there has been a growing trend of developing horror games that are mean’t to be more relate able for the player, setting them within familiar environments and providing them with everyday/ common place tools for survival. Thrusting the gamer into a world where they’re, unknowingly, making psychologically connections to/ relating with the environment and character as you begin to immerse yourself into the world. This is the reason that so many people find games like Outlast and Slender so scary, they’re being designed with the specific intent of drawing you in and not letting go.

For awhile it seemed that the AAA game developers had forgotten about the horror genre and the ones that hadn’t, just couldn’t deliver a solid game. Which was fine, because we really got to take notice of a lot of great indie horror in that time.
