Thank you for joining me on another episode of We Play Wednesday, today we’re providing a taste of the Scarecrow Nightmare Missions within Batman: Arkham Knight. As you may know, this 3 mission pack is a limited time exclusive for those of us playing on the PS4.
Arkham Insider is a new video series direct from Rocksteady Studios, bringing you exclusive new gameplay, developer insights and a look behind the scenes on the development of Batman: Arkham Knight.
According to Liam Ashley, Rocksteady Community Manager, “We’ve been hard at work since the completion of Batman: Arkham City, conceiving and creating a game that raises the bar and delivers the next-gen Batman experience that our fans deserve.”
Last week it was officially announced that Batman: Arkham Knight was going to have a Season Pass option to secure the planned DLC. However this news was received by the community with very mixed feelings, in some cases even harsh criticism, because of the near $40 price point.
WB Games understood that they needed to reveal a bit more information to provide us all with a better understanding of what the Season Pass would actually include.
I doubt that anyone is surprised to by the news, but its been officially announced the Arkham Knight will have a Season Pass that promises to be well stocked and properly maintained to deliver content regularly.
For weeks Sefton Hill & Rocksteady having been hinting, teasing, that a new trailer would be coming… On Friday 4/24 we saw the beginning of a 3 day countdown leading to this very moment.
Slowly but surely Warner Brothers and Avalanche Studios have been revealing information regarding the upcoming Mad Max game, however we’re finally getting a substantial gameplay overview that is blowing the doors off of what I was expecting. This certainly isn’t the Mad Max: Fury Road film adaptation that I was expecting, its much more than that.

Based on what we saw, there are a few things that we can clearly tell right away…
As we all know Rocksteady Studios has been quite vocal about the fact that Batman: Arkham Knight will be their final installment in the critically acclaimed Arkham franchise.
According to Rocksteady’s Dax Ginn, “Anything we do is a collective decision between Rocksteady, Warner Brothers, and DC Comics. But it was something that we were really pushing for because we had a really clear vision of how this story should end, and the way we wanted it to end.”
The question remains, will the way Rocksteady ends their trilogy leave room for anything else in the franchise?
As you all know by now, I’m a HUGE fan of Batman and the entire Arkham franchise…

If only all of these moments didn’t feel like they had been completely shoe-horned into the game, in between all of the story heavy cinematics. For what it was, the game was really fun and enjoyable… however there were definitely issues that needed to be resolved in order for The Order to be as successful as everyone initially thought.
