Set 50 Years After An Unstoppable Zombie Apocalypse, Moving Hazard Unleashes Unique Advantages

Psyop Games and IllFonic are collaborating on a new team-based, competitive first person shooter, Moving Hazard, set 50 years after the collapse of civilization due to a fast-moving and unstoppable zombie plague. In this world, however, the zombies aren’t the main enemies, but instead lethal assets that can be weaponized to the player’s advantage using a variety of clever strategies and in-game devices.

“Some of the most interesting and terrifying scenes in zombie pop-culture, from the likes of The Walking Dead or Dawn of the Dead, are when humans unleash the devastating force of the impenetrable undead upon their enemies,” said Matt Wilkinson, head of tech, Psyop Games. “Using the zombies as weapons causes chaos, fear, and confusion that can quickly overwhelm opponents and change the landscape of the battle. Moving Hazard looks to capture this moment with fresh tools and tactics that will combine classic military shooter and zombie survival gameplay in a totally new way.” Continue reading Set 50 Years After An Unstoppable Zombie Apocalypse, Moving Hazard Unleashes Unique Advantages

Dark Storm: Ascension Is Aiming To Take Out The Top Dogs Of The Stealth Action Genre

A couple of months ago we shared the exciting news that Fenrir Studios is currently developing Dark Storm: Asecension, a stealth action game set in an open world scifi universe. There’s no denying that the team was heavily inspired by AAA franchises like Metal Gear & Deus Ex, however this indie underdog promises they’ll be delivering a title that’ll rival any of their stealth action competitors. Based on everything I’ve seen thus far, they’re preparing to choke the life out of the competition.

Where a lot of games within the genre feel as if they’ve simply wrapped a new story around the same gameplay mechanics, its clear that Fenrir Studios doesn’t have that luxury so they’re building it all from the ground up. However they’ve started with a phenomenal foundation, everything about Dark Storm is being built around an original and beautifully written story. There isn’t any question to me that it’s the story and the characters within in it that have shaped the game so far and will continue to do so through development, they’re creating an immersive experience that you won’t want to put down. And that’s the way it should be…

However in order for Fenrir Studios to achieve their vision and deliver the game that we all deserve, they need our support on Kickstarter to get it done right.

Still trying to figure out how this upcoming indie title could possibly have, the critically acclaimed industry veteran, Kojima shaking in his Solid Snake pj’s?
