A few weeks ago I announced that Whalebox Studios had officially started their Kickstarter campaign for Goliath, their upcoming massively open world survival game that thrusts you into a world ruled by long forgotten monsters. Your only chance at surviving and discovering the truth behind the reappearance of these horrific giants, is to craft your mechanical Goliath’s and fight back!
Today I’m thrilled to share with you my exclusive interview with Artem Bochkarev, the producer on Goliath. This interview has been several weeks in the making and I hope you’ll get a new level of insight into this exciting upcoming game.
Here’s a quick refresher in case you aren’t yet familiar with Goliath.
When Godzilla was announced for PS4 I was super, SUPER excited. I watched a trailer and decided I was getting it day one. I went dark. I didn’t want any on news about it. I didn’t want my dreams crushed and I didn’t want my expectations to rise through the roof. Well something terribly awesome happened.
Last month we were excited to share the announcement that Whalebox Studios is currently in the process of developing their dream project, Goliath.
While the team was at E3 they ran themselves ragged getting Goliath in front of the convention goers that were in attendance, however like much of you we weren’t among them… Today was our first chance to lay eyes on these new Screenshots & trailers. I’m definitely looking forward to the release of Goliath, the downside we’re looking at 2016 before that’ll happen.
Just in case, here’s a brief refresher on the world of Goliath before we share the new images… Check out our original coverage if you’d like a little more depth.
If you’re anything like me, anytime you’ve played games like Sim City you were only interested in building a thriving city for one reason; total destruction. I’d unleash all sorts of unlucky circumstances upon my cities, just so I could watch the citizens react as the chaos unfolded.
Kaiju-A-GoGo offers a similar opportunity, except you don’t have to concern yourself with the nonsense of building cities… Destruction & domination are your goal.
Choose your giant monster! Destroy cities around the world! Rule the Earth in this light action-strategy game that harkens back to the classic PC monster city-stomping games of yesteryear!
