Friday The 13th: The Game, An Exclusive Q&A With Co-Creator Wes Keltner

Last week I was thrilled to share the news that Gun Media will be taking us back to Camp Crystal Lake in 2016. For the first time since the 1989 NES classic, horror fiends and gamers alike will be able to immerse themselves in the terrifying world of Friday The 13th: The Game for PS4, Xbox One, & PC. However the team is taking a completely different approach than it’s side-scrolling predecessor, Gun is developing an experience that’ll leave you feeling as if you’re actually a part of the iconic horror franchise with an online 1v7 asymmetrical multiplayer approach.

In order to create the definitive Friday the 13th experience, they knew they’d need to engage the fans to ensure Friday the 13th: The Game lives up to the same standards that they’ve have come to love from the film series. Their Kickstarter campaign will allow them to create a gaming experience that’ll be scary as hell, while bringing the brutal violence and gore that the fans deserve.

Whether you’ve already backed the campaign or you’re still on the fence, I’m thrilled to share with you an exclusive Q&A with Wes Keltner, Co-Creator of Friday the 13th: The Game, where we take a moment to talk about the early stages of development, in game features, and the Kickstarter.

Hopefully we’ll answer a few questions that you’ve been asking, if not you’ll find that the Kickstarter page is still going to be your best resource for in depth information.

Umbrella Corps Brings Fast Paced Competitive Third Person Shooting To The Resident Evil Universe

Today at the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia Press Conference 2015 in Tokyo, Capcom announced Umbrella Corps, a new fast-paced third person shooter set in the Resident Evil universe. The competitive online game will feature quick, intense matches in compact battle zones themed from historic Resident Evil environments. The game utilizes the Unity engine developed by Unity Technologies. Umbrella Corps will be available digitally for an MSRP of $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 on PlayStation 4 and PC across North America and Europe in early 2016.

Umbrella Corporation, a ruthless international pharmaceutical company, had been known for its genetic experiments and biological weaponry that led to worldwide devastation including the infamous Raccoon City incident . Although the organization was brought down in 2003, its legacy of bio-terrorism continued. In the present day, corporations with nebulous interests in bio-weaponry have hired squads of special forces for experimental battles in restricted virus-infected areas against other mercenaries.

Rocket League, Scores Big Releasing On PS4 And PC Today

Rocket League was one of those games that I had little to no expectations of enjoying, the idea of vehicular soccer didn’t sound all that exciting to me. And then I was invited to take part in the closed beta and I very quickly understood what it was that made this game great… even in the beta stage it was clear.

Global independent developer and publisher, Psyonix, announced today that Rocket League, one of the few PlayStation games in history to offer PS4/ PC cross-platform play, is now available digitally on the PS4 via the PlayStation Network, and on PC via Steam.

image

If you’re of the mindset that every game featuring cute & cuddly animals is for kids, then you’re sadly mistaken…

Guardians of the Forest features adorable woodland creatures, that don’t necessarily play nice with one another. And by nice… I mean they’re armed to the teeth and looking to brutally slaughter anyone that gets in their way.

DC Infinite Crisis, Officially Launches Free To Play Today On Steam

InfiniteCrisis_OpenBeta

I was fortunate enough to have been granted beta access to this game over a year ago, I had an opportunity to watch as the world was tweaked & fine tuned and the roster of playable characters grew further than I’d expected. I’m not the biggest fan of PC MOBA games, primarily because I don’t have a dedicated gaming PC. However as it’s a DC Comics title, I needed to give it a shot. I wanted to see how this game was going to differ from DC Universe Online. As much as they’re the same, they’re also completely different. If you’re a fan of DC Comics or the MOBA style of gaming, then you need to download this free to play game and dive in head first!
