It isn’t uncommon for developers and publishers to reach out to the community to rally behind them in support of their newest project, however it isn’t every day that a developer reaches to help them decide which game you’d want them to develop next. However that is exactly what Press Play has done, they’ve been toying around with three very different concepts and have been doing some early concept experiments.
Below we’ve provided an overview for each game that you’re able to vote on, check them out and decide which game you’d be most interested in diving into. Of course Press Play would love your feedback and have you among the voters that’ll be helping to shape their future.
In order for them to stay on track, they’re needing your vote by September 1st. They’ll be announcing the winner on September 8th. After that, they’ll be in full gear and looking to work together to develop the winning concept into their most ambitious game yet.
Today, Ubisoft announced that Grow Home, a quirky experiential climbing adventure developed by Ubisoft Reflections, will be available for download on PlayStation 4 on September 2nd, 2015.
In Grow Home, players are free to explore a strange open world full of floating islands, majestic caves and waterfalls set in a beautiful and minimalist art style. Players take on the role of BUD (Botanical Utility Droid), an excitable child-like robot sent on a mission to search the galaxy for a new species of plant that can save his home world.
A couple of months ago we shared the exciting news that Fenrir Studios is currently developing Dark Storm: Asecension, a stealth action game set in an open world scifi universe. There’s no denying that the team was heavily inspired by AAA franchises like Metal Gear & Deus Ex, however this indie underdog promises they’ll be delivering a title that’ll rival any of their stealth action competitors. Based on everything I’ve seen thus far, they’re preparing to choke the life out of the competition.
Where a lot of games within the genre feel as if they’ve simply wrapped a new story around the same gameplay mechanics, its clear that Fenrir Studios doesn’t have that luxury so they’re building it all from the ground up. However they’ve started with a phenomenal foundation, everything about Dark Storm is being built around an original and beautifully written story. There isn’t any question to me that it’s the story and the characters within in it that have shaped the game so far and will continue to do so through development, they’re creating an immersive experience that you won’t want to put down. And that’s the way it should be…
However in order for Fenrir Studios to achieve their vision and deliver the game that we all deserve, they need our support on Kickstarter to get it done right.
Still trying to figure out how this upcoming indie title could possibly have, the critically acclaimed industry veteran, Kojima shaking in his Solid Snake pj’s?

Captured straight from actual gameplay, the trailer shows Rico Rodriguez unleashing his unique brand of chaos and destruction as he seeks to destroy General Di Ravello’s ruthless grip on power.
Lately it seems there have been an increasing number of developers embracing the idea of using day/ night cycles as an active trigger within their games, this is becoming especially prevalent in the survival horror genre.
In this regard Grave isn’t an exception, they’re employing the day/ night cycle as a means of signaling the creatures that stalk you through the night. However they’re promising to deliver a truly unique experience as you navigate the open world and progress through the story…
Izle looks to be a truly unque voice on the horizon, blending elements from wildly popular gaming franchises and applying them in new and interesting ways within this artistically beautiful environment.
