KLAUS (PS4 Review), Does This Puzzle Platformer Leave You Wishing You Could Forget Or Is It Simply Forgettable?

KLAUS has been on my gaming radar for quite some time, I was intrigued by the overall premise of the story where you awake with no memory of who or where you are. Of course it doesn’t hurt that I’m a big fan of the puzzle platformer genre, but this can be a double edged sword as so many in this genre leave me wanting more as they become all too repetitive.

That left me asking the question, does KLAUS leave you wishing you could forget or is it simply forgettable?

Extreme Exorcism, Should The Power Of Gaming Compel You To Play? PS4 Review

Extreme Exorcism is a multiplayer arena brawler that looks to bring back the golden era of couch gaming, where you and up to 3 friends are thrust upon a creepy haunted house and it’s your job to exercise those pesky poltergeists. However this one brings a unique twist. Whether playing cooperatively or solo, at the end of the day, you’re still going to be your own worst enemy.

However the question remains, should the power of gaming compel you to become the extreme exorcist or is Extreme Exorcism a spectre that should be exercised from your must play list?

I Am Bread, The Incredibly Delicious PS4 Review

When Bossa Studio’s revealed their most recent title I Am Bread, I think everyone in the community was a little curious. And then we remembered, they’re the same team that delivered the hysterical and wildly successful Surgeon Simulator. However it wasn’t until I Am Bread launched on Early Access for PC that everyone really started buzzing, is it really possible that it’s going to live up to the hype?

Batman: Arkham Knight, The Long Awaited Spoiler Free PS4 Review

First off I’d like to apologize that it has taken me so long to get this review together, however as you know I’m not always afforded as much time as I’d like to dig in and play games because everyday life tends to get in the way. And let’s face, it if I was going to review this game it was only going to be after 100% completion of the story and all side quests…

Rocksteady has built such an amazing franchise in the Batman:Arkham series, Arkham Asylum reignited my passion for gaming, Arkham City proved that you could improve upon perfection, and of course while Rocksteady was developing Arkham Knight WB games developed Arkham Origins which wasn’t perfect but they managed to prove they could tell a truly classic Batman story while taking full advantage of the groundwork that Rocksteady developed. Why make mention of any of this, how is this relevant to my review of Batman: Arkham Knight?

It’s simple. Batman: Arkham Knight is the game that I’ve most anticipated for the last few years, it’s the only reason that I stepped out and bought a PS4 when I did. My expectations for this game couldn’t possibly be any higher. The question remains, is it actually possible for Rocksteady to live up to my unrealistic expectations as they deliver their final entry into the Batman: Arkham franchise? Review Abyss Odyssey: Extended Dream Edition

Gameplay
Rereleased on Playstation 4 on July 28th 2015 by Ace Team is Abyss Odyssey. Gameplay is a mix of special abilities, jumping, dodging (or lack of) and blocking. The interesting part of Abyss Odyssey is once you die you get to use a much weaker human version to avenge your death. Then you can then seek out a special altar to revive your special character. If you die when you are this human you must start all over again as the use of save points is very limited and only if you have a special item to save at an altar and even that has a limited amount of consumption.

Looking Back – Star Fox 64 3DS Review

Back in my childhood I would visit my friends house and we would start up the N64. One of the first games we played was Star Fox 64. Mainly multiplayer mind you, but I was in awe. I got a chance here and there to play the campaign, however I never made it very far.

Batman: Arkham Knight, Arkham Episodes Harley Quinn Story Pack PS4 Review

The Harley Quinn Story Pack was another pre-order bonus for Batman: Arkham Knight, however unlike the Red Hood Story Pack this was made available to everyone regardless of where purchased or the format pre-ordered. For me there wasn’t ever a question as to whether or not I was going to be pre-ordering Batman: Arkham Knight, however the prospect of getting this story DLC certainly didn’t hurt. Even though I was looking forward to playing this content, I didn’t really know what to expect until we received the official gameplay trailer and I was thrilled. However the question remains, did the Harley Quinn Story Pack live up to my expectations? Just in case you haven’t had a chance to see the Harley Quinn Story Pack in action, you can check it out here. Batman: Arkham Knight, Arkham Episodes The Red Hood Story Pack PS4 Review

As you know I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Batman: Arkham Knight, there wasn’t going to be any doubt as to whether or not I was going to pre-order it. The question was where was I going to pre-order it? I was presented with dozens of options, ranging from; discounts and a variety of DLC offers. Ultimately I had to go with GameStop to get my hands on the Red Hood Story Pack.

The question remains, was the decision to go with GameStop for the Red Hood DLC worth it? in case you missed it, here it is in action.

Ever since Double Fine announced they were remaking a classic. One that I had missed during my adolescent years, like so many others. Well I jumped at the chance… once I cleaned up some of my back log.
